SCHURTER AG was founded in 1933 in Lucerne, Switzerland by Mr. Heinrich SCHURTER. The production program of the SCHURTER Holding AG are the components for electronics and electrical engineering. In addition to traditional production the company makes a variety of electric components for computer technology, communication technology and in many other sectors of electrical industry. The largest customers include leading global corporations such as Siemens, Hewlett Packard, Compaq, IBM, ABB, Nokia, Ericsson and many others.

The subsidiary SCHURTER spol. started producing 1991. The company currently employs over 130 people.

The major part of the plant are fuse holders, voltage selector, combined plugs and sockets, indicator parts, buttons, switches, circuit breakers instrumentation, foil keyboard, all in many different designs.

All plants of SCHURTER Holding AG have a certified quality system according to international standards ISO 9001 and 14001. The czech factory was certified in December 2000. The production quality is checked several times a year by audit institutions of the national laboratories (UL, CSA, VDE, etc.) and control audits.

The entire SCHURTER product range is distributed in the Czech Republic directly by the sales department of the plant in Little Rock.
